Dr. Palanki is a gold medallist Medical Oncologist and a full-time senior Consultant at The OMEGA Hospitals, Hyderabad, with over 15 years of rich experience in the field of oncology. He has also practiced as a Consultant at The Indo-American Cancer Institute and Research Centre (Hyderabad) in the past. He has done a fellowship (Observer status) in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K. (2005) and then later trained in the same hospital.
Dr. Palanki specializes in Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Aspirations, Lumbar Puncture, Pediatric Oncology, Chemotherapy, Hematological Malignancies, Intrathecal Administration of Chemotherapeutic Agents, Pleural Fluid Tappings, etc. He has been a part of various research and review articles such as “Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia: Overview of the management" for the Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Society of India at Andhra Pradesh (2004), “Chemotherapy in Ovarian Cancer": CME programme conducted by IACI & RC for the Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Society of India at Andhra Pradesh (2005) and many more and has also presented several papers at prestigious platforms such as a poster presentation on Cetuximab in Squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck (SCCHN) & Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): The IACI & RC Experience at the International Health Congress, Health Worlds Asia Conference in Singapore (2005), Analysis of Paediatric ALL cases treated with the MCP-841 protocol at the GCRI paediatric oncology center’: Oral presentation of the complete analysis at the Update on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in collaboration with the INCTR held at the Cancer Institute (WIA) Chennai (2004) wherein he also published an abstract in the abstract book of the oral and poster presentations at the conference – to name a few.
