About Dr. Arun Warrier

Dr. Arun is a practicing Medical Oncologist – a university gold medallist, with over 10 years of experience in the field of cancer care. He is currently a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Aster Medcity, Cochin and a Visiting Consultant, Aster Mankhool Hospital, Dubai, in the Comprehensive oncology department dealing with all aspects of cancer care. He has also been associated with Lakeshore Hospital, Cochin (Dept of Medical and Paediatric oncology), Madras Cancer Care Foundation-Apollo Cancer Hospital, Chennai and Biotechnology department of IIT Madras (collaborated for gene expression profile analysis study of Osteosarcoma) prior to his current position.

Dr. Arun has partaken several clinical trials as an investigator, has been a Clinical Supervisor for CMT program of RCP, UK, and actively participates in awareness programmes for the public and medical professionals. He holds a prodigious experience in teaching at various institutes such as Chettinad Hospitals and Research Institute, Chennai (Assistant professor in department of General Medicine), Cancer Institute, Chennai, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin and KMC, Manipal (Case discussions for MBBS, BDS students).

Dr. Arun has several publications to his name such as High-dose methotrexate in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia: Toxicity profile and comparison of tolerability between two dosage schedules (Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2010), Hepatoblastoma: Analysis of treatment outcome from a tertiary care centre (Journal of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, 2011), etc. and has also presented papers and posters at various prestigious platforms such as Autologous stem cell transplantation in Multiple Myeloma-Analysis of cases from a tertiary care Centre (paper presentation) at National Conference of Indian society of Oncology (2009), Poster presentation on Tolerability of High dose Methotrexate at the 49th annual conference of Indian society of Haematology and transfusion medicine (2008), Poster presentation on Case series of breast lymphomas at the National Conference of Breast cancer Foundation of India (2007) and many more. He continues to add value to the field of medicine as a practicing oncologist and is affiliated with multiple professional bodies like Dubai Health Authority – Specialist Medical Oncology,

Indian Medical Association, European society for Medical Oncology, Indian Collaborative Oncology Network, etc.
