Dr. Amarendra is a well-known Medical Oncologist with over 10 years of experience, currently practicing as a Consultant at BIG Apollo Spectra Hospital (Patna). He holds a vast array of experience in the field of Oncology as a Junior Consultant (Medical Oncology), and also a Registrar (Medical Oncology), at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, as a Senior Resident – (Internal Medicine) at Dr Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan (A Govt. of Delhi Hospital) and (Geriatric Medicine) at AIIMS – New Delhi, and a Junior Resident (Internal Medicine) at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow in the past.
Dr. Amarendra has partaken various research projects, conferences and publications such as Primary renal cell lymphoma: Case report, diagnosis, and management (Case report) in Indian journal of medical and pediatric oncology (2017), attended first ever best of MASCC meeting, at Mumbai, India (2018), Primary Thyroid Lymphoma: A case report and review of Literature, Apollo Medicine (2019), Study of Netupitant and Palonosetron combination in prevention of Chemotherapy Induced nausea and vomiting (Abstract) – poster presentation at MASCC annual meeting at Seville, Spain (2020), to name a few. He has been a recipient of various awards for his academic achievements such as First prize at the 13th Asian Clinical Oncology Society Conference held at Chiang Mai (2018) for a poster on “Evaluation of the role of PET-MRI in the diagnosis of recurrent Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma, ESMO Preceptorship on NSCLC - a travel grant by European society of Medical Oncology to attend a preceptorship course on Non-small cell Lung Cancer at Singapore (2018), a travel grant by ESMO to attend the preceptorship on metastatic kidney and bladder cancer at Singapore (2019), and many more.
Along with all this, Dr. Amarendra has been a reviewer for a couple of articles for ASCO educational Book’2020, for Journal of Support Care in cancer (MASCC publication), for Journal of Current Oncology (a publication of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi). He continues to contribute to the field of oncology as a practicing Medical Oncologist and is an active member of several professional bodies like Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Association for Study of Lung Cancer, Multinational Association for Support Care in Cancer and International Society of Geriatric Oncology.
